- Maternal Grandparents - deported to Sobibor from Holland
- Paternal Grandfather - we had to leave him behind; and he died the year we entered the US
- Uncle Simon - deported to Theriesienstadt and from there with the last transport to Auschwitz
- Heinz and Liselotte - Auschwitz from Holland
- Erika - fled from Holland to Switzerland with many serious complications - and survived the War.
- Tante Ella - deported from Holland to Theresienstadt and survived the war
