• Maternal Grandparents - deported to Sobibor from Holland
• Paternal Grandfather - we had to leave him behind; and he died the year we entered the US
• Uncle Simon - deported to Theriesienstadt and from there with the last transport to Auschwitz
• Heinz and Liselotte - Auschwitz from Holland
• Erika - fled from Holland to Switzerland with many serious complications - and survived the War.
• Tante Ella - deported from Holland to Theresienstadt and survived the war
